Monroe County is a Winter Wonderland! Plan your stay with snow tubing, skiing, hot chocolate, and cozy fires! There is much more to do, so don’t stop there. Monroe County has over 330 miles of snowmobile trails that give the perfect scenery and excitement too! You could even bring your ice fishing gear, our lakes are a hot spot for the avid ice fisherman and fisherwoman! Don’t forget, snowshoeing on the trails in the parks and ice skating in the rink.

Whitetail Ridge Ski Area Fort McCoy

At Whitetail Ridge, skiers and snowboarders of all levels can enjoy the slopes, featuring a vertical drop of over 185 feet. For snowboarders, there's an exciting terrain park to explore. Additionally, visitors can experience the exhilaration of snow tubing down one of the five runs, with an 800-foot long slope and a convenient Magic Carpet lift for easy access. Cross-country skiing enthusiasts can explore over 5 miles of scenic trails. After a day of outdoor fun, the Chalet & Ten Point Pub offers a cozy retreat for warming up and enjoying food and drinks.

No experience needed for snowshoeing at Justin Trails Resort! Just rent a pair of snowshoes, dress warmly, wear sturdy boots, and bring your adventurous spirit. With snowshoes available for both adults and children, explore the 200-acre property. Night hikes unveil breathtaking views, wildlife sightings, and the enchanting glow of snow along their extensive network of trails, ensuring an unforgettable experience for all ages.
