Cataract
Situated halfway between Sparta and Black River Falls, Cataract boasts several noteworthy attractions, including the Wegner Grotto County Park and the annual Sportsmen’s Club Field Day. The Grotto showcases intricate concrete folk-art sculptures adorned with glass shards, ceramics, and seashells.

The annual Cataract Sportsmen’s Club Field Day takes place the Sunday following Labor Day. This event features shooting and archery contests, kids’ games, bingo, educational displays and delicious food.

Ten miles north of Sparta you will find the Wegner Grotto County Park—a fantastic landscape of concrete sculptures decorated with thousands of glittering glass shards and found objects, such as seashells, china dishes, and arrowheads.
Additionally, southeast of the community, visitors can explore The Little Falls Railroad & Doll Museum, featuring a charming garden railway, model railroad layout, and an impressive doll collection.
