Public History Program – Went for Broke: Japanese American Soldiers at Camp McCoy during WWII

Public history program Thursday, May 15: “Went for Broke: Japanese American Soldiers at Camp McCoy during WWII” presented by Dr. Gerry Iguchi, UW-L History Professor.

Dr. Gerry Iguchi will share the remarkable history of the 100th Infantry Battalion, comprised of Japanese American men from Hawaii who trained at Camp McCoy in 1942.

Please note that to provide more seating space, this program will not be held at the Local History Room but nearby at the Sparta United Methodist Church, 210 N. Court St.  Parking is available in the Museum/Monroe County Parking Lot off Central Ave. A $1.00 per person admission donation is greatly appreciated to defray programming costs.
